Study Plan

We all have emotions. Now, more than ever, we are encouraged to show them at work and in our professional relationships. However, in a dynamic and complex work environment, we need the ability to manage them. If emotions are not handled effectively, they can interfere with productivity, communication, and even our reputation. In certain negotiations, they can have such a destructive effect that it will be difficult to rebuild not only relational assets but also continue pursuing the objective initially sought in the negotiation process. This applies to both conflict management and negotiations with distributive or value-creating purposes.

In this course, a practical approach is provided to relate to and manage our emotions. The course is a combination of conceptual explanations and practical tasks that can be applied in real-time situations where emotional factors reach a moderate to extreme intensity. We will discover how the body influences the mind’s ability to regulate emotions, practice self-empathy, and learn how to recognize our emotions and express them in the workplace and our professional relationships responsibly. Additionally, we will learn practices such as orientation, grounding, and redirection, which allow us to become emotionally smarter and more resilient, both in the workplace and in personal relationships.

Through five classes, the program explores in depth the most complex difficulties within emotional processes, their externalization, and their consequences, from both our perspective and that of the people negotiating with us. We understand the importance of emotions in human relationships and the impact they have on every human exchange process. When emotions overflow or are not managed properly, the expected outcome is conflict or the escalation of situations that could have been resolved more effectively with less cost in terms of personal asset depletion.

The difficulties we will examine stem from various sources, which may present themselves individually or complementarily: challenges in handling our own emotions or how we receive the emotions of others, inadequacy in communicating emotional elements, and undoubtedly, excessive emotionality, as well as the difficulty in expressing certain things intelligently and with particular delicacy and intelligence. We are convinced that this training will not only help reduce conflict levels but also lead to substantial improvements in individual and group productivity. The results we seek should decisively contribute not only to protecting relational assets but also to achieving results in cases where usually, due to a lack of knowledge…

Finally, the overall goal is to take control of these emotions by deeply analyzing what is known as emotional intelligence, alongside more efficient management of time and emotional circumstances.
