About us and our activities

Soft Skills is a Research Laboratory and a School with its own developments in conflict management, negotiation techniques, communication, and the enhancement of personal and group productivity tools.

Characteristics of our work

Nature of the Topics Addressed by the Laboratory

“The Laboratory, our content creation system, was designed to delve into the vast field of soft skills. The Spanish translation, “habilidades blandas,” does not do justice to their fundamental importance. In the 21st century, social skills will be key to equipping us with the knowledge and actions necessary to develop better leadership, management, and communication systems. Ultimately, they enable us to manage ourselves, our lives, our professional endeavors, and the leadership of companies and organizations.

To achieve this, our team is constantly engaged in reviewing and updating content, monitoring and deepening trends, and creating educational materials and training designs. This ongoing effort ensures that we remain at the forefront of innovation in the fields of knowledge we cover.

¿ What Do We Do in Terms of Training?

Our areas of focus include the development of skills in Conflict Management and Negotiation, Communication Skills, and Management Skills across various aspects of Soft Skills.

Our Criteria for Topic Selection

We provide tools for conflict management and resolution, with an in-depth approach to negotiation skills based on the methodology we have developed since 2005. We place strong emphasis on practical communication aspects and the acquisition of knowledge in key areas such as time management, effective meeting organization, team leadership, workplace generational coordination, and comprehensive soft skills training.

…in relationship-building and leadership skills for executive management, middle management, and leaders of companies and organizations.

¿What Are Our Contents?

We focus on substantial training, free from unnecessary or outdated content. Given our nature as a Research Laboratory, we continuously analyze trends, adopting and adapting key elements, topics, and issues that are essential for teaching and knowledge transmission with a practical application approach.

At the same time, we discard topics that show signs of being temporary trends or ineffective practices—those that have proven not to provide meaningful contributions to professional and business management.

Vision

We are a private initiative, founded in 2005, that has evolved into the Laboratory we operate today. With contributions from researchers and academics across various disciplines, we strive to be a national and regional reference in the study of our areas of expertise.

Mission

To contribute and serve as a reference in the development of social skills through teaching, applied research, outreach, training, and community services.

Services

Consultancy

The Consulting Service is one of the most dynamic areas of our organization, evolving through various stages since its inception.

Its origins date back to 2005, starting with conflict management—cases where parties had moved beyond direct negotiation and could no longer reach a resolution, either due to the complexity of the issues or the emotional weight involved, which hindered dialogue. To address this, the institution assembled a team of specialists providing consultancy services to public and private organizations, businesses, and individuals.

This consulting service is based on an old Japanese axiom, which states that the best lawyer is the one who never frequents the courts but instead achieves conflict resolution through negotiation and reconciliation. The consulting team is primarily composed of lawyers and psychologists, focusing on analyzing problems, identifying obstacles to resolution, and managing conflicts that the parties involved are unable to resolve on their own.

Since 2018, the service has expanded to its current form. In addition to resolving conflicts between businesses and individuals, it now includes analyzing and managing relational challenges within organizations, generational adaptation systems, leadership dynamics, team functionality, and factors affecting group productivity.
